Conclusions

  1. 1.

The IR spectra of 1-methyl-substituted silacyclobutanes in inert-gas matrixes have been studied at 10°K (the tri- and hexadeuteromethyl derivatives were prepared and studied for the first time).

  2. 2.

The frequencies of the vibrations characterizing the silacyclobutane ring have been refined, and the changes in the intensities of the bands and the vibrational frequencies of the Si-CH3 group on deutero substitution have been determined.
