Conclusions

An investigation of the kinetics of the initiated oxidation of p-xylene in the presence of N-phenylanthranilic acid, methyl N-phenylanthranilate, and nickel bis (N-phenylanthranilate) has shown that coordination with Ni(II) leads to a substantial enhancement of the antioxidant properties of the N-phenylanthranilate anion.
