Effect of complex formation in the dioxyethane-Eu(fod)3-ketone system on europium(III) deactivation processes

Abstract

It was established that the quenching of Eu(fod)3 * luminescence by dioxyethanes is chemical in character and caused by formation of [dioxyethane...Eu(III)] complexes. A τ-metric method was proposed for testing the possibility of catalysis of thermal decomposition of dioxyethanes by lanthanide ions and for monitoring dynamics of complex formation in the dioxyethane-lanthanide-ketone chemiluminescent system.
