Conclusions

The five-membered heterocycle in the structure of 3-oxo-3-chloromethyl-2,3-dihydro-1,3-benzoxaphosphole is planar to within ±0.03 Å with the greatest (CPC)endo bond angle equal to 91.33(7)°.
