Conclusions
-
1.
A new hydrous germanate with, the theoretical formula (Mn, Mg)3Ge2O5(OH)4 has been prepared hydrothermally.
-
2.
A crystallochemical analogy between the synthetic germanate and the natural silicate antigorite has been established by means of chemical, x-ray structural, and differential thermal analytical methods.
