Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

The bromination of (C5H5)Zr(C5H7O2)2Cl(Br) with N-bromosuccinimide goes only in the acetylacetonate rings, with a retention of all of the ligands in the molecule.

  2. 2.

The bromination of (C5H5Zr(C5H7O2)2Cl(Br) with bromine proceeds in the acetylacetonate rings, with cleavage of the Cp ligand and replacement of the halogen.
