Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Polycondensation of 1,2-O-(1-cyanoethylidene)-3,6,2',3',4'-penta-O-acetyl-6'-O-trityl-4-O-α-D-glucopyranose catalyzed by triphenylcarbonium perchlorate is stereospecific.

  2. 2.

    We have synthesized the block polysaccharide glucan S-6, which consists ofβ-(1→6)-linked maltose residues.
