Abstract
The coordination of Rh(PPh3)3Cl on a dicarbaundecaborate polyamide gives a new polymeric rhodium hydride complex with catalytic activity in the hydrosilylation of 1-hexene by triethylsilane. The rhodium derivative of 7,9-dicarbanido-undecaborate(11)-7,9-dicarboxyanilide was synthesized as a model of the monomeric unit. CoIII and NiIV bis(dicarbollyl) complexes also display catalytic activity in hydrosilylation reactions.
