Abstract
The limits of existence for Group 2 perchlorate hydrates are defined. The water vapor pressure is measured over the crystal hydrates Mg(ClO4)2·2H2O, Ca(ClO4 2·4H2O, Sr(ClO4)2·3H2O, Sr(ClO4)2·2H2O, Sr(ClO4)2·H2O, Ba(ClO4)2·3H2O, and Ba(ClO4)2·H2O. The water vapor pressure and thermodynamics constants of dehydration depend directly on the electron-acceptor strength of the cation.
