Conclusion

  1. 1.

A method has been developed for the synthesis of previously unreported singly bridged chromium arene phosphine chelate complexes not containing an argon atom in the bridge.

  2. 2.

The arenechromium tricarbonyl complexes with PH2 groups in the ω-position of the side chains are incapable of forming a triply bridged chelate by the substitution of carbonyl ligands.
