Conclusion
-
1.
The isomerization rate constant of 2-bromo-l-propyl-p-methoxybenzoate is significantly greater than that for the corresponding esters of the aliphatic acids studied previously.
-
2.
The isomerization rate increases with increasing solvent polarity.
