Conclusions
In heterobimetallic complexes of the type (η5-formylcyclopentadienyl)(triphenylphosphine-gold)tricarbonylchromium (molybdenum, tungsten) the Au-transition metal bond is easily cleaved either in the gas phase via electron impact (ionization), or in the liquid phase by photolysis.
