Conclusions
The feasibility of the isolation of an N-nitrosoamidated ethylenediamine product in an Au(III) complex has been demonstrated for the first time; this has previously been observed only in the case of Pt(IV) complexes. The compound was characterized by elemental analysis and by spectroscopic studies.
