Hydrocarboxylation of polybutylene on palladium complex catalysts

Conclusions

The introduction of carboxyl groups into up to 60% of the double bonds in a polybutadiene sample is possible at 90–170°C and 2.0–14.0 MPa in the presence of PdCl2(PPh3)2 and added PPh3.
