Conclusions
-
1.
Using the example of the complex [η5-C5H5Fe(CO)2]2, it has been shown that the bridging carbonyl groups are able to form hydrogen bonds with donor protons.
-
2.
Protonation of the complex [η5-C5H5Fe(CO)2]2 has been detected in its reaction with perfluoro-tert-butanol and with HCl at the metal-metal bond in solution in liquid xenon.
