Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The bromination of esters of fluoronitroacetic acid in alkaline media gives a series of esters of fluorobromonitroacetic acid.

     
  2. 2.

    The condensation of fluoronitroacetic acid derivatives with aliphatic aldehydes gave esters of 1-fluoro-1-nitro-2-hydroxycarboxylic acids.
