Conclusions
-
1.
Clinoptilolite sorbs the trace elements in sea water, concentrating Rb, Cs, Li, Ag, Sr, Cu, Zn, Ni, Co, Mn, Cr, Fe, and Au.
-
2.
The copper distribution coefficient was calculated from the data on sorption of copper from sea water.
-
3.
The kinetics of the sorption of copper from sea water are characterized by two stages: a fast stage and a slow stage. The internal diffusion coefficient of the first, fast stage was calculated and was an average of 1.6·10−8cm2/sec.
