Conclusions
A synthesis was carried out for 1,2-O-exo-cyanoethylidene-3-O-trityl-4-O-acetyl-6-O-benzoyl-α-D-galactose which was converted by polycondensation into (1→3)-D-galactan containingβ-D- and α-D-galactoside bonds.
