Conclusion
-
1.
A kinetic study has been made of the total oxidation of small quantities of aldehydes on platinized alumina catalyst in a flow-circulating system, and a mathematical description of the process has been given.
-
2.
On a grain of commercial catalyst at 120–160°C, the reaction proceeds in the internal transition region; at higher temperatures, the process changes over to the internal diffusion region. The macrokinetic parameters of the process have been evaluated.
