Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Mn2(CO)10 and Fe(CO)5 are comparable in effectiveness in initiation of telomerization of 1-hexene with telogens reacting with the C-Cl bond. In the step of chain transfer to the C-Cl bond, complexes including Mn2(CO)10 are significantly less effective than complexes based on Fe(CO)5.

     
  2. 2.

    Fe(CO)5 inhibits the telomerization of 1-hexene by methyl chloroacetate initiated by Mn2(CO)10.
