Thermodynamic evaluation of differences in capability of donor-acceptor interaction of organic bases with KF and Na3PO4 in columns with hydrogenated apiezon

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    For the first time, a packed column has been proposed for GLC analysis with hydrogenated Apiezon L and KF as a salt capable of donor-acceptor interaction with organic bases that are hydrogen donors.

  2. 2.

    A thermodynamic evaluation has been made of the differences in capability of donoracceptor interaction of organic bases with KOH, KF, and Na3PO4, under the GLC conditions; it has been shown that the contributions of donor-acceptor interaction with KOH and KF to the total differential molal free energy of sorption are identical; in the case of Na3PO4, this contribution is greater, and it depends on the character of the base and whether the phosphorus or oxygen atoms of the phosphate group participate in the complex formation.
