Conclusions
-
1.
Reduction potentials in the polarographic reduction of multicentered rhenium and osmium carbonyl halides with cross-linking halogen atoms depend only slightly on the nature of the halogen atom.
-
2.
The effect of n-donor compounds on complexes of the (μ-X)2Os3(CO)10 type is to cause substitution of the CO groups at the osmium atoms and to conserve Os2X2 metal ring.
