Conclusions

  1. 1.

The effective charges on the atoms in the bisbenzene complexes of vanadium, chromium, and molybdenum have been calculated in the framework of the first approximation of the model of effective charges on the basis of experimental data on the integrated intensities of bands in their IR spectra.

  2. 2.

The effective charges on the metal atoms in the bisarene complexes studied are somewhat higher than those in the corresponding biscyclopentadienyl compounds and lie in the range from 0.5e to 0.9e.
