Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The formation of negative ions by molecules of fulvenes and spiro[2,4]hepta-4,6-diene was studied. Electron-acceptor substituents stabilize the molecular negative ions. The fragmentation of this compounds studied involves mainly the loss of substituents.

     
  2. 2.

    For substituted spiro[2,4]hepta-4,6-dienes, fragmentation is accompanied by opening of the cyclopropane ring and formation of ions with a fulvene structure.
