Conclusions

  1. 1.

    It has been shown that, depending on the conditions used in its preparation, the aluminum in the o-semiquinolate of aluminum dichloride has a coordination number of 4, 5, or 6.

  2. 2.

    The ESR spectra of the o-semiquinolate of boron difluoride have been investigated. The stability of this compound allows one to deuterate the ligand in the aromatic ring under the action of deuteroperfluoroacetic acid at 100°C.
