Synthesis of C-Se derivatives of o- and m-carboranes

Conclusions

Some C-Se derivatives of the o- and m-carboranes were synthesized by reacting Se either with the Na derivatives of the o- and m-carboranes in liquid NH3 or with lithium o-carboranes in ether -benzene solution.
