Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Conclusions

  1. 1.

Palladium(II) acetate oxidizes carboranes to boric acid.

  2. 2.

C- and B-Thallated carboranes react with palladium(II) acetate with the formation of free nonmetallated carboranes.

  3. 3.

The transfer of the carborane group to styrene was found in the reaction of B-thallated o-carborane with palladium(II) acetate.
