Conclusions
A synthesis is reported for dicymanthrenylphenylbismuth which is the first representative of cymanthrenyl derivatives of trivalent bismuth. The reaction of this compound with CuCl2 leads to the loss of the phenyl and cymanthrenyl ligands from the central bismuth atom.
