Conclusions

The photolysis of liquid solutions of CF3I and (CF3)2CFI in perfluoro-4-methyl-2-pentene at γ 240 run gives longlived radicals, which were identified as radical-adducts formed by the addition of CF3 and (CF3)2CF radicals to the double bond of the perfluorolefin.
