Infinitesimal discontinuities in non-linear dielectric media

Summary

We study the propagation of first-order electromagnetic discontinuities in an isotropic nonlinear dielectric. By investigating the principal wave fronts, we deduce the fundamental differential equations characterizing the growth of the weak discontinuities.

In questo lavoro viene studiata la propagazione delle discontinuità elettromagnetiche del primo ordine in un dielettrico isotropo non-lineare.

Esaminando i fronti d'onda principali, vengono dedotte le equazioni differenziali fondamentali che reggono l'evoluzione delle discontinuità deboli.
