Synthesis of polyene ω-dimethylaminocarbonyl compounds (merocyanines) from ω-dimethyl-aminopolyenal aminals and aminal-acetals

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    A study has been made of the condensation of aminals and aminal-acetals ofω-dimethylaminopolyenals with ketones,β-diketones, and CH acids.

  2. 2.

    Several polyeneω-dimethylaminocarbonyl compounds (merocyanines) containing 3–5 double bonds have been synthesized.
