Conclusions
The pyrocatechol complexes and hydroxides of V(II), Ti(III), and Cr(II) reduce N20 to N2 and H20 and they reduce the azide ion in two- and six-electron reactions with the formation of N2 and NH3, and NH3 and N2H4, respectively.
