Conclusions
In the photolysis of frozen solutions of 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol and 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzoquinones with asymmetric substituents, two types of radical pairs (RP) are formed; this can only be explained by the existence of two types of donor-acceptor complexes in the solutions in the absence of the possibility of hydrogen affinity in the hydroxyphenoxyl radicals,
2. In magnetophotoselection experiments, the dependence of the yield of both types of RP on the angle between the electric vector of the exciting plane-polarized light and the direction of the external magnetic field of the spectrometer was observed for all of the systems studied.
