Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Reaction of (α-hydroxyalkyl)phenylphosphines with phenylboric anhydride has given 4,6-disubstituted-2,5-diphenyl-2-bora-1,3,5-dioxaphosphorinanes.

  2. 2.

    The spatial structures of the products have been determined, and the equilibrium amounts of the stereoisomers measured.
