Conclusions

  1. 1.

A universal force field was composed on the basis of the force constants of silaethylene H2C=SiMe2 and silanes R2SiX2, which permits calculation of the vibrational frequencies of silaethylenes H2C=SiX2 (X=H, D, Cl) and the assignment of bands in their experimental IR spectra.

  2. 2.

The vibrational frequency for the C=Si bond in H2C=SiX2 is found in the vicinity of 1000 cm−1 according to the calculation performed and experimental literature data which corresponds to a force constant KC=Si=5.6 mdyn/0A.
