Conclusions
-
1.
An x-ray diffraction study of low-polar forms of 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-3,5,5-triphenylformazan (Ia) was carried out.
-
2.
It was found that (Ia) has the structure of an E1,2E2,3Z3,4-isomer with a planar formazan group, determining the extended conjugation chain in the molecule.
