Conclusions
-
1.
Di(trifluoroacet)amide, (CF3CO)2NH, in the gaseous state and in solutions of inert solvents exist predominantly in the monomeric trans-trans form.
-
2.
Monomeric diacetamide, (MeCO)2NH, converts from the cis-trans form to the more polar trans-trans form with increasing polarity of the dielectric constant of the medium. The cyclic dimers of the cis-trans form in CH2Cl2 convert to linear trans-trans polyaggregates with decreasing temperature.
