Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Lowering of the crystallization temperature and stirring both help to reduce the particle size and increase the external surface area of synthetic mordenites.

     
  2. 2.

    Reducing the particle size of synthetic mordenites does not affect their ion-exchange properties but does facilitate removal of skeletal aluminum.
