Flow past a torsionally oscillating plane

Summary

The time-dependent flow of a viscous incompressible fluid induced by a uniform stream past a plane lamina, undergoing small-amplitude sinusoidal torsional oscillations, is investigated. The non-axisymmetric fluid motion consists of the primary Rosenblat flow and the secondary cross flow whose characteristics are discussed in detail.
