Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Propargyl methyl ether reacts with triallylborane at room temperature with the formation of 3-(methoxymethyl)-1,5-diallyl-1-boracyclohex-2-ene, which is converted to 7-methoxy-3-allyl-3-borabicyclo[3.3.1]non-6-ene during heating.

    At 125–135‡C, propargyl butyl ether reacts with triallylborane with the formation of 7-(butoxymethyl)-3-allyl-3-borabicyclo[3.3.1]non-6-ene.
