Conclusions
-
1.
Using pulsed radiolysis the authors have investigated the products of one-electron reduction of P2W18O 6−62 and P2W17O 10−61 ions in neutral aqueous solutions. They have determined their optical characteristics and the rate constants of formation.
-
2.
The reaction of hydrogen atoms with P2W18O 6−62 in acid aqueous solutions leads to formation of [P2W18O62·H]6−.
-
3.
They have established that ionizing radiation stimulates hydrolysis of heteropoly compounds; a mechanism of the process has been proposed.
