X-ray diffraction structural analysis of 1,6-anhydro-2-desoxy-2,4-di-C-methyl-3-O-benzyl-5-O-mesyl-α-L-idofuranose and 1,6-anhydro-2-dexosy-2,4-di-C-methyl-3,4-di-O-benzyl-β-D-glucopyranose

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The product of the isomerization of 1,6-anhydro-2-desoxy-2,4-di-C-methyl-3-O-benzyl-4-O-mesyl-β-D-galactopyranose corresponds in structure to 1,6-anhydro-2-desoxy-2,4-di-C-methyl-3-O-benzyl-5-O-mesyl-α-L-idofuranose. The geometrical and conformational parameters of this compound were determined.

  2. 2.

    The conformation of 1,4-anhydro-2-dexosy-2,4-di-C-methyl-3,4-di-O-benzyl-β-D-glucopyranose was established.
