Summary
Femoral neck osteosynthesis acts from a static point of view either on bridge principle (no load acting on the bone contact facit) or on the principle of compression (load acting on the bone contact facit). Plate nails under certain circumstances bring about a compression of the contact surface in axial direction as is aimed at with pressure osteosynthesis. This effect of conventional osteosynthesis from a static point of view is discussed.
