Conclusions

The acid chlorides of thiophosphorous and thiophosphonous acids react with trimethylsilyi cyanide to give the corresponding trivalent phosphorus thiocyanides, which give theα-cyanoalkyl esters of phosphorus thioacids when reacted with carbonyl compounds.
