Conclusions
Enantioselective hydrogenation of ethyl acetoacetate was carried out for the first time on unsupported 1∶1 Cu-Ni catalysts obtained by precipitation. The highest optical yield (50%) was obtained with a catalyst obtained by reduction of oxides at 250°C in a 1∶10 H2∶N2 atmosphere.
