Conclusions

  1. 1.

Solid ionic carbenium salts have been obtained containing cymathrene residues, and these have been reacted with nucleophilic reagents.

  2. 2.

From the IR spectral data, cations containing C5H4Mn(CO)2(L) moieties, where L is a tertiary phosphine, exist in solution as a mixture of conformers with different dispositions of the CO groups.
