Conclusions

When η5-C9H7Re(CO)3 is reacted with urotropin in ethanol, apparently as the result of rupture of the metal-π-ligand bond in C9H7Re(CO)3 and of the O-H and C-C bonds in ethanol, the N-methylurotropinium di(μ2-ethoxy)(μ2-methoxy)hexacarbonyldirhenate(1+) salt is formed, whose structure was proved by the RSA method.

η5-Indenyldicarbonyl(triisopropyl phosphite)rhenium was obtained.
