Conclusions
-
1.
The biuret complexes of Cu(II) when treated with 2-methyltetrahydro-2-furyl peroxide in water are converted to diamagnetic Cu(III) compounds.
-
2.
The biuret complexes of Cu(II) and Cu(III) are efficient catalysts for the decomposition of organic hydroperoxides and H2O2 in water at room temperature.
