Conclusions

  1. 1.

We have demonstrated the formation of aryl free radicals by the decomposition of phenyl and p-methoxyphenyl borofluorides by means of ferrocene by both preparative and EPR methods.

  2. 2.

The system ArN2BF4-ferrocene can be used for S-arylation of thioamides and thioureas.
