On work and constraints in mixtures

Summary

We argue that working terms in a mixture theory should include all possible Langrangian time rates of all volume fractions, and illustrate a novel method of accounting for the corresponding constraints.

Zusammenfassung

Wir zeigen, daß die Arbeitsterme in einer Theorie der Mischungen alle möglichen Langrangeschen Zeitableitungen aller Volumenbestandteile beinhalten sollen, und illustrieren eine neue Methode zur Berücksichtigung der zugehörigen Zwänge.
